I look forward to another interesting race for the presidential nomination within the Libertarian Party (LP) in Denver in a few weeks. Other notable candidates include former progressive libertarian Democratic U.S. Senator Gravel, who officially joined the Libertarian Party (as Jerome Holden and I realized long ago), as well as former conservative Republican congressman turned Libertarian Bob Barr .
These three candidates are distinctly different, but seem to share similar core libertarian beliefs in respect and empowerment of the individual American citizen. If only we had more people of such intelligence and character presently elected in Washington!

The bill passed easily in the state house but faces a veto from the governor, who has apparently sold out to the law enforcement community, which receives millions of taxpayer dollars annually to continue the drug war.
